It is not that I need a translation, but it is more a question on understanding, which I vì understand, but following the patterns on grammar "need" is followed by to-infinitive or either bare infinitive, thus, what I understand is that we have to giảm giá khuyến mãi with the agency of the subject, so an active subject takes need & a verb in the infinitive -either khổng lồ or bare- and a passive subject takes need plus a verb in ing.Is that an explanation?Thanks Shaked

"Necesita que alguien la pinte""Necesita que se la pinte" dan el significado exacto, pero demasiado largas. En español "necesita pintura" es lo que se diría normalmente, quizá también "pintar". Puedes, por ejemplo, comprar una casa y decir "Está en muy buen estado, sólo necesita pintura/algo de pintura/pintar". Puede haber otras maneras sencillas de decirlo que no se me ocurren ahora.

I can"t think of any case when need is followed by the bare infinitive. That"s not to lớn say that one doesn"t exist. Can you give me an example of what you"re thinking?

To be honest, I would never say "She needn"t come." It sounds very British lớn me. I would say "She doesn"t need to come."
